Station Orchestra          Print Version/Afdruk Versie

In the turbulent times after the war a symphony orchestra, which consisted of local musicians, was established by the English occupiers. In the so-called Opera House (theatre) of Batavia only a couple of concerts were given with directors such as Frits Hinze and Iwan Fedoroff and soloists such as Willen Noske (violin), Lisa Molino (soprano), Vladimir Gerasimuck (trumpet) and Emile van Dinter (baritone).
